MORRISTOWN — The employer of 13 U.S. military veterans, acting Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp was honored Tuesday as a supporter of workers who are committed to service in the armed forces.
Knapp, who has been acting prosecutor since December 2012, was nominated by office Detective Michael Gomez for a U.S. Department of Defense tribute called the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award. Now a reservist who did active combat duty with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, Gomez said that Knapp is a boss who recognizes and respects the value of employees who serve in the military.
